if wishes were true

don't you sometimes wish
you had force lightning?
just release all that pent up anger,
lash out in the darkeness,
where no one can get hurt,
where there are no consequences,
no responsibility just the darkness?

don't you sometimes wish
to just surrender everything?
when the weight of the world
becomes unbearable,
when every avenue--- blocked,
when every action--- hindered,
when every patience--- tested?

don't you sometimes wish
to burn, to lay waste,
when plans can never be shared
when action and success in secrets
held in darknes--- none trusted,
can contemporaries construe
this road we traverse?
as the darkside entices seduces
Jedi our hand can not let this go,
its price--- friends and family
held at arms length constantly,

  • Hi Coy,

The first verse reminds me of Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet series. He did lash out his anger; however, the difference was that his actions had dire consequences. The second reminds me of Thanos again in Marvel's "THE END" mini series. There Thanos gave up everything (after obtaining the heart of the universe ) after being 'enlightened' by his old foe Adam Warlock.

    cheers,
    mike

  • lucky Thanos, he could "lash out without consequences" and lucky him he could give up things without running away from them. hehehe

i was really really angry and frustrated when i wrote this post. its my version of "lashing out without consequences". there are just days when stuff fills up, shit happens and there's just no other way to get over it but to just take it all in, release it even when there's no respite for or from it and move on.
