What Folly

dark clouds loom and thunder rages,
rain pours flood it brings,
what madness then unleashed?
only these eyes see,

myriad concerns challenge each morn,
clawing for attention, of resolution
even when friends a calling
respite that it should isn't,

all we see--- dark clouds n' thunder
rages blanketing these battlefields
troopers a plenty dead or weary,
respite what friends are isn't,

demands aplenty clawing away
unrelenting what madness this bring!

we prefer the quiet battles waged
in places people rarely see,
in campaigns these hands make
its lost or victories ours be,

not this industry healers
hide their true nature,
theives! liers! cheats!
And agents demand--!
how little they understand,

we prefer deed these hands
forged in loss or victory steer,
what grand design!
not even a noble venture!

we can always wish,
if it be true? why not?
if it be false, is it such loss?

of course for Her this isn't penned
for Her who is special,
She be neither problem nor disaster,
She be like warm sunshine after a storm,

too early to say what role she'd play if any,
we have hope--- all there is time will tell,

yet these storms are not for Her to see,
these battles are not Hers to wage,
not Hers know, She has her own
to shatter and over come!

i will not rob Her of things She must do,
and all i can offer is a hand to hold,
see what folly wisdom brings?

dark clouds fill Heaven 'n thunder rages,
rain pours flood it brings,
what madness then unleashed?
only these eyes see
