Valley of Shadows

Pale Full Luna lights night-sky,
Chilly breeze sweeps through
Mountain of snow fall and lie,
Engulfs everything, slowly grow
Filling this Valley of Shadows
          we thread willingly,

Black cloak, hooded robe
          we wrap ourselves in---
Imagine fire from well-lit stove,
Home we had been,
Wind sweeps with sharp fangs
Unmatched by Spirit's pangs!

Animals, may take human-form
          Their arrows deadly pierce,
A back throbbing unforgivably,
Wound from fighting fierce
          like river blood flows immensely
Dizzily we thread willingly away
          from bright lights! spark humanity!

Mind, what fragile unpredictable thing!
We taste her lips like addicting wine,
Her hair's jasmine scent, a perfume: lingers
Her warmth, every curve, every crevice,
          every peak these hands remember
We be drunk in this madness!

Animals, may take human-shape
Find power: jabs at this heart
          with javelin thrown mercilessly
And like a fool we stupidly stood
at its path: spirit wobble, dims!
Shimmering and fading in this wasteland

Madness 'n sanity in a tag-of-war wage
Are we animal that blindly slays?
Animal withering, cowering,
          waiting, moment of death?
A hand on Sword of Righteousness,
          key to Hell's frozen gates

Black hooded cloak we bind ourselves to,
A fool transverses this Frozen wasteland
Under Full Luna's watchful gaze,
Leaving a river of blood flowing in wake,
Javelin dragged along, a canal it makes,
Sword at ready for Animals to slay,
